Inusitado was founded in Porto in 2017 by two graphic designers, Ana Brandão and Joana Bernardo, driven by their fascination with paper, writing and editorial design. The brand emerged from the need to slow down the pace and create moments that value the intimate relationship between the user and the object —that unique instant of writing, sketching, leafing through and bringing ideas to life.
Inusitado arises from the fusion of memory and the contemporary, accompanying the entire process from creation to the materialisation of the object.
Each piece is an invitation to pause, to feel, and to let ideas find their place — quietly and meaningfully.
We combine innovation and tradition, bringing together contemporary design and Portuguese artisanal savoir-faire. All production takes place in Portugal, crafted by artisans who share our care and high standards. We accompany the entire journey from the initial idea to the finished object, ensuring that each detail reflects the singular character of both the brand and the client.

Every material is carefully chosen to create objects that awaken the senses — the texture, the scent, the way ink reacts, the sound of turning a page. We work with traditional bookbinding techniques, prioritising sustainability and durability.
